Chief Steven Hamlett has been a member of the Concord Volunteer Fire Department since 2012.  He is an active member of the Department's Swift Water Rescue team and is heavily involved in the Central Virginia Firefighter's Association.  Chief Hamlett is an Instructor I with the Virginia Department of Fire Programs, instructs at the Campbell County Fire Academy, and helps design curriculum for the Company's Public Education Division.  Chief Hamlett holds certifications in Technical Rescue and has taken Emergency Management courses at the National Fire Academy at Emmitsburg Maryland.
